Good to see and hear Jen & Steve…ooops, I mean Steve & Jen on the air again!

  • http://www.facebook.com/bdbopper Brian Donegan

Welcome back to the radio Steve and Jenn!  Won’t be able to listen tomorrow but will be back to listen on Monday.  Keep up the great work fighting for what is right, fearing God, telling the truth, and making money!

  • Dave Runge

I miss your show a lot! Glad to hear you are back on the air. Looking forward to a CR area station picking up your show.

  • Tomgeist

There is NO CHANCE an eastern IA station will pick up the show – not enough talk about Hawkeye football and urban chickens.

  • Dave

That was totally a God-thing you getting into Rush.

That was totally a God-thing you getting into Rush.

  • DeZwarte

So pumped that you are back! I listen everyday my brother!!!! But hey how about we get rid of the ISU jerseys

  • Richard Auwerda

Steve – We got cut off before I could tell you that because of the questions concerning Creationism vs. Darwinism, brought up im my Church, I did visit the High School Biology Classes. The Darwin segment was VERY short and taught as a flawed therory, that, however, changed the way we looked at not only the world, but science as a whole. Which is true. Before that there was only Naturalism as a science (which gave rise to some VERY wrong ideas, religously, such as blacls all being related to Noah’s son Ham, and therefore it was destined for them to be slaves/servants – many southern churches taught this through the 60′s, see Peter Kreeft’s SOUL SURVIVOR). There are many therories that are taught because of the way they helped us change or thinking to make real discoveries. This includes Abraham Ortelius’ (1856) Continental Drift therory, which was wrong but led us to platetectonics; or the majority of Newton’s (even laws, as they were believed so long before being proven wrong they are still considered laws) Therories, which lead to so many other discoveries…etc. We as Christians and layman when it comes to science, I think are missing an opportunity to really educate our children, especially in the difference between, facts, laws, therories, experiments, observational studies and must importantly conclussions – that would arm them better when they enter College (or life) and the atheists use our lack of knowledge in this area to bring up questions or doubts. Otherwise what happens when we find out that the fact is the earth rotates around the sun, and God probably had the earth stand still, not the sun, during Joshua’s Battle?Christians REALLY need to understand Darwin’s Theory is just that a THEORY. In fact it is an OBSERVATIONAL theory not based in scientific research. Most of his theory have been disproved, as in most innovative scientific theories, including Newton’s. The reason he gets attention is it was a pivotal turning point in the scientific discovery process, that has allowed us to find real truths, i.e. how the influenza virus evolves to become zoonotic (jump the natural species blood brain barrier) and affect other species, etc.(It has long been speculated at what a diference it would have made if Darwin and Mendal had been able to use each other’s work, much as we do today)The real questions today, aren’t about Darwin’s theory except by a real fringe; Most non-creationists believe in the “big bang” theory. However according to Theistic Evolutionists (those same people who bring us the Intellegent design therory) the “big bang”, if it was, could be God separating the darkness and light. 1 Corinthians 13:12:”For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”

    • Richard Auwerda

I’m tired…sorry for the typos and repitition; I also meant Yancey’s Book SOUL SURVIVOR (not Kreeft)

Steve – You and your family are lifted up in my prayers.  I’m so glad to hear you back on the air spouting truth and dissecting sin in a way that many can understand.  You are a blessing.  Jean

Pro gay marriage people say they want to have a conversation about it. Yet when I ask them if they approve of polygamy they don’t want to discuss it. Their only answer is “That is just a distraction”
A group is suing in Iowa Courts for polygamy marriage right now!
They must realize the question will exspose one of two things:
    1. If they say they approve of marriage for any group, then they are just out to destroy the institution because when marriage can mean anything, it will mean nothing!
    2. If they are against polygamy, they show thay want to change marriage, but, only for them. They are against this right for all.

  • Gregg Jackson

The most important exec order Perry should have issued was enforcing the inalienable right to life for all pre born babies and closing down all abortuaries in Texas and prosecuting child murder as he is obligated to do as chief law enforcement officer in Texas. We are majoring in the minors guys….Gregg Jackson

Love it Jen.  So many misunderstand the “Jesus in the box comment” to believe they have control over the box, when for me it means that when we know what God commands and seems impossible and uncomfortable and are overwhelmed as humans, we look to God for our strength and are often amazed by how he works things out. That what renews my strength.

  • Frobs7

how about too many mentions of this erroneous idea that we’re a democracy!

    • Frobs7

this was in regards to Deace’s comment on 9/23 about there being so many things wrong during the 9/22 Repub. debate. I didn’t realize this wasn’t a live line to the show.

Interesting we’ll encourage kids to stop achieving and using their God given potential and abilities, yet we’ll encourage them to embrace sinful ways on National Coming out day

What would we have expected from King David (that God did not) after his sin with Bathseba?

  • AZ

Could possibly God use our government to fulfill  His material help towards our poor because His church simply has not?  Maybe they are too busy building beautiful buildings, paying high salaries, and doing missions accross the seas?  Just an observation.

  • AZ

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray,
and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chr 7:14
Hmmm…. Could His people be fewer than we think?  Why are we not making the above our emphesis in turning our nation around and correct some of our problems?  God does not tell us to fix the government… HE will do the fixing through healing…  IF we do our part… stated above for US to do.  We always want to do it OUR way … God is waiting for us to do it HIS way.  Even our spiritual leaders our wallowing in man’s (world’s) solutions (voting)… what a waste of time.  God tells us that HE selects our leaders.  Maybe we have who we deserve?  Hmmm.   It seems like if christians were preaching the gospel… christian numbers would grow… and have the majority vote outcome would be different?  We fight not against flesh and blood.  Hmm.

Like the show, but way too much air time for Cain.  He has no shot at the nomination.  The next “anti Romney” candidate is Newt.

What the nation needs, if the republic and our liberties are to be preserved, is Ron Paul and more libertarian influence.

  • http://twitter.com/usernamenuse sailing

Steve Deace, Ron Paul would never, ever, ever, ever, ever let government define sacramental issues.  Ever. Ever. Ever.  this goes to your issue on homosexuality. This is the place where Ron had to make a choice.  His preference is govt stay out altogether and churches decide for themselves.  He would enforce the DOMA.  He would never let people push their views through law into people’s private spiratual decisions — that would be anathema.  You should ask him that, when he comes on, in so many words.  He has problems JUDGING people. Don’t ask him if people are bad, or if what they do is a sin.  Ask him if he would let government dictate to churches that their sacraments have to be a certain way.  It just would never happen.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Phillip-McDaniel/1176265924 Phillip McDaniel

Free-will is God’s natural created order.  Who/what is government to impose limitations beyond that.  The church has faltered for the past 80+ years and is currently faltering by asking the government to do it’s job.  Jesus roundly refused to be a political figure, being a political doesn’t serve the purpose of the church.  Being salt and light as Christian individual and as the collective church is what we are called to be.  God gives people the right of free-will to exercise their lives in what ever manner they choose.  Who is government or the church to disallow the same freedom.  It is the church/Christian’s roll to show/lead a different way, not impose it via government force!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Phillip-McDaniel/1176265924 Phillip McDaniel

Amen Brother Woods!!!  Marriage is a holy thing.  Holy denotes of God… not of government!  It’s between people and God, no government injected into the middle!

  • Daniel Patru

Thanks for having Tom Woods on. It’s important to get the message out that Christians should not be supporting wars of aggression. Americans are piloting drones that are killing patriots (with respect to their own countries) and innocents none of whom are threats to Americans in America. This is the biggest sin America is committing and most American Christians are indifferent.

  • Dwightdarr

Why is it so shocking to people that a man whose church handled a sex abuse epidemic as it did would handle such a situation in his own organization in a likewise manor?

I could not disagree more, I will be taking my thirteen year old daughter to “Breaking Dawn”, The reason?  I can not think of a movie that displays the values of abstinence and pro-life stronger than this movie.  A teenage movie where the love intrests REFUSES to have sex before marriage, and when she becomes pregnant even though the baby may be a “demon” and the father, her friends and the community is violently opposed to her keeping the baby. She refuses.  I welcome the conversation this movie will stimulate with my teenage daughter.

if a husband and wife called into the show to receive counseling for a mariage problem. the man starts by saying “the problem is my wife, she is always complaining!” the wife admits this is true. when you ask the wife why she is always complaining she claims its because her husband is a slob, leaving his underwear on the floor for weeks at a time and won’t work out.

well mr so and so, is this true? do you leave your underwear on the floor and are you neglecting your weight? “Well”, he replies “yes but that has nothing to do with her complaining”
well, why does she complain mr so and so? “i don’t know but it has nothing to do with my underwear or my weight.” but she SAYS it does, she’s trying to tell you!

so america, did you prop up the shaw in iran and do you prop up dictators around the middle east? “sure but it has nothing to do with 9/11. they attacked us because we are free!”

we are responsable for the islamists taking over egypt. we gave the islamist dogma fuel to burn and we do it all over the middle east. we should remember that a soft word turns back wrath. people around the world just want to raise thier kids and enjoy life. the only time people start to get riled up is when there is injustice to rail against.

the neoconservatives have flooded the airwaves with propaganda selling war and death and erosion of civil liberties. please support ron paul for president.

    Mr. Deace,
I would encourage you to endorse Ron Paul for President 2012, because I think journalists and reporters play a strong role in shaping the country.  Future history books will vindicate most of the positions Ron Paul supports.  He has already been proven right (in some big ways) in his 20 (or 30 year) career serving fellow citizens.  This the time to stand on the right side of history!

  • http://www.facebook.com/fiodax Dax Ewbank

If you make these moral judgments as to why you can’t support Ron Paul because of his libertarian stance on some issues of personal morality, and then go ahead and endorse Newt Gingrich, you are a hypocrite at most and inconsistent at least.  Ron Paul’s positions are born out of a principle of Liberty, every other candidate is taking positions born out of polling.  Give me a break if you are seriously saying you can’t support Ron Paul because of your differences in some of these areas and then throw your support to one of these others.  You either want principled integrity or not.

  • Kevinvconner

    Hi Steve!

I appreciate you having Tom Woods on and discussing a Ron Paul presidency.  There’s a chance here to do something quite amazing and respectable — return sound Constitutional government.  State’s rights are the most important aspect of this.  We all can have exactly what we’d prefer, at a state and local level.  That is the area that matters, and the area that is most easily changed by choice, should you disagree.

The United States are still that.  We are united against all attacks. We are for honesty, integrity, and a solid chance.   But, we are also for personal and state liberty.

  • Anonymous

Mike’s argument about turning abortion laws over to states doesn’t make sense?  How can there be any more abortions than there are now?  Granted a state neighboring Arkansas may see an increase if Arkansas outlaws it, but how could the total # possibly go up??

    • Jimmymormand

      Amen!

      • Jay

Right!  Imagine if the states could decide.  Even if not all states would outlaw abortion right away, how many babies would be saved in the mean time?  How many would have been saved so far?!

  • Ecorob

my wife and I are praying that you will help restore the faith in America and stand up for Ron Paul

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=681206122 Dave Suchy

If thats how Gov Huckabee feels, why didnt he have Gov Johnson on his forum show?  Why is everyone afraid of Johnson being heard?  Just like they were Huckabee in 07 n 08

  • Jimmymormand

We were born with free will – those that are immoral will pay via karma and in the after-life. Governments role is to protect life, liberty, and property.
We are attacking countroes in the mid-east that have not attacked us – we should revisit the Judeo-Christain principles of just war theory because it is our government that has been immoral therefore I reject the notion of empowering an immoral body (that has all the guns, money, and power) to dictate morality to me and my family.

  • Jimmymormand

If the states had control over the abortion issue just as they do with crime, then millions of babies could be saved and for the states that remain pro-choice shame on them and the consquences but now we have 7 kings and 2 queens dictating to us when life begins. I reject that and so should you.

    • http://www.facebook.com/albert.bregar Albert Bregar

That is just it, the issue of abortion is a constitutional issue. Abortion denies human beings their fundamental right to life.

      • James

Yes but our Government does not follow the Constitution therefore the States must nullify and usurp the Federal Governments mandate that allows abortion.
This issue must be fought from the ground up not dictated to us by the den of wolves that occupy DC!

        • Kearlenej

Agree, you know I never heard our Forefathers address abortion or homosexulaity have you?  Why do we not use the energy of all these posts and fight what we see daily in our communities, abuse, lack of education and stop briining abortion to the forefront and our young children might not have as much sex for they know they can get rid of ti?  We have planted that thought for years in every young child’s mind. Have sex, get pregnant and have an abortion for we keep it in front of them daily. We did not have that in my era, yes we had sex and prayed we did not get pregmant for our hormones were raging, sex was not formost in our society, you took the dress codes away, girls flaunt themselves today and  parents go along, fashion promotes and all you can do is scream about abortion when there are so many other subject to look into to make America Free again as OUR FOREFATHERS DESIGNED.  WHY aren’t you protesting the taking God out of our schools, pray, churchs burned, beleivers mocked, killed. Thinkign radical slurs are fine for you were taught prejudice, allowing others to come into our country illigally and condemn the states that stand up for themselves, there are so many more important issues to address.  OUR FREEDOM.  AWAKENING THOSE THAT can not see the trees for the forest and see their FREEDOM and RIGHTS are going away daily. We have done this to ourselves we have created what is going on because we have not and seems will not TAKE RESPONSIBLITY FOR OURSELVES DAILY and HELP OHTERS DO THE SAME. I found this site and thought it was great but when I read the posts I find ignorance to humanity, are we even human any more, do you care about you neighbors, your community, your businesses that give you your needs?  Please join us in AWAKING those that do not see or who have not even thought about the things I have mentioned, we allowed this to happen to us.  Our MILITARY MEN and WOMEN who fight for our FREEDOM and DIE are being abused and their rights taken away and treated like dirt upon their return and all we can scream about is abortion and homosexuals?  Whee something is really wrong.  We Forgot GOD! We Forget OUR CREATOR, something created us and gave us all Free Will and look what we have done with it.  Look in the mirror and ask yourselves what YOU can do to help.  I will most likely get hate mail but that will only confirm how right I am in what I have written. Or people are color have contributed so much to America, with out them we would not be who we are, but they are attacked daily. Do you not thinkg that is why we are being attacked today from people of color who see this stupidness in us so they wish to hate us, as we appear to hate ourselves and they have taken over and we allowed? We have ourselves to blame for we did not call out the people who made us more slaves, We, THE PEOPLE tell the government what to do not the other way around, but we do ot have the back bones to stand up for the rights our Forefathers gave us and fought for. We allowed stupid laws, prejudice, greed and hate to rule our lives.  Will you do something about it before we are no longer free and lead into chambers to be killed, of course they do not even have to do that, go to the hospitals have you paid attention how many are killed there? Because we do not care or value human life, we worry about the unborn but pay little heed to the born!

    • Kearlenej

Jimmy I agree states, towns, cities should adopt laws prohibiting women from using abortion for Birth Conrol!!!! Our young children need love and a home life not more porn and be aware of the consequences, most have sex our of the need for ‘love’ looking in all the wrong places, being wanted, being loved and they think a boy’s hormones running will give them that and both pay.  Stop being so indignate, what are you doing to help solve the problem? Women have the right to do with their bodies as they see fit and recieve help not being condemned for getting pregnant.  Do you wish to go back to the butchers in the back alleys?  Ever think o that!  You get all upset over this but I do not see many writing about what happens to people who have been damaged in surgies, from pills prescribed, articles are wirtten but no action it takes place every monent of the day are you writing about this? You get upset over over-popluation yet you scream about abortion, does this truly make sense? Doctors are being protected while patients are maimed, butcher, lied to and their quality of life changed because of neglect, not taking responsibility of their patients, oh I didn;t do anything wrong, Seniors being ignored, yet they tell them they can live llonger.  Look at all these contridictions, ever thought about this way. Look at our babies and the problems due to what is legal today for new borns before their immune systems are developed, were these problems there 50 years ago?  Are you screaming about that, they are being damaged before they even get into their cribs and you are screaming about abortion should they be born and subject to what we are doing to them today?  Why should Seniors live longer when they are being killed with medication and the merry-go-round of Western Medicine. Doctors and Hospitals are paying their bills with our lives! I don’t hear this at Presidental deb ates…why? You fight for the unborn, but what the born? Probably will make a lot of people mad at what I have written, but would you think about the unjustice of the two sides I have written about that I do not ssee gets ANY thought or consideration….our lives daily are in danger, living is difficult enough without our porviders using us a ginny pigs!  We punish the Alternative Doctors ae are saving lifes and praise the Medical doctors and Western Medicine, when Eastern Medicine and God’s First Medicine Plants, trees, flowers, save us but what they give to us cannot be patented and billions made annually.  Have you ever thought about these things?  Not putting you down for your thoughts but am asking to you consider what I have shared with you seems pretty off-balance and we sit by and allow it and do nothing but we scream about abortion and homos?????

    (1) Marines Corps

The Marines were formed in 1775, their first Battle was in New Providence Bahamas, against the British. The Marines were not formed to fight “radical Islam”.  When the Marines did fight the Barbary Pirates, they were fighting them because they were pirates, injurious to our mariners, and disruptive of our commerce.  Whether or not they were Islamic, was quite beside the point.  Recall also that the Marines fought our fellow Christians in 1812 when they were also injurious to our mariners, and disruptive of our commerce.  There were few Muslims in the royal Navy at the time.

       Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continental_Marines

    (2) Radical Muslims

There are fewer Christians in Iraq because of our foreign policy.  Noeconservative, pro-war foreign policy has resulted in the retreat of the Church in the Middle East, and the advance of radical Islam.  Ron Paul’s foreign policy might actually result in an expansion of the Church in the Middle East; what we’re doing now certainly hasn’t.  Most Muslim do not hate Christians, but our foreign policy has given many of them reasons to associate drone strikes, invasions, bombings with a the Christian united states.  The Neocon foreign policy puts reaching the Middle East for Christ at a great disadvantage.

    (3) Homosexuality

You are wanting Ron Paul, a candidate for the Presidency, to advocate engaging the Executive Branch in outlawing or prosecuting homosexuality; when or if that is the task of Government, why is it the task of the Federal government?  Where is that in the Constitution?

Most specifically, the task of discouraging sin, and freeing people from it, belongs to the Church first and foremost.  Why should the Church abdicate this moral authority to a Federal bureaucracy?

Pragmatically, giving that power to punish and prosecute homosexual sin to the Federal government, may seem good for Christians when we are in power, but it puts our freedom of religion and our own exercise of conscience at great peril when we are not.  We are safest when we remove that power from the Federal government completely; and we are most effect when we by our example, and our evangelism reach sinners for Christ.  The Federal government is not, and should not be greater than the power of the Gospel.

    • Kearlenej

Jay, I truly have a problem I do not understand what Homosexuality and Abortion is importnant in an election. There are many more impotant issues, like OUR FREEDOM, OUR RIGHTS as human-beings and The Constitution and upholding what our Forefthers wrote and gave to us. Homosexuals most of the time was created in the fetus, some chose the lifestyle it has been for centuries do to our creation how doest the Government in any stretch of the imagaination put down God’s Creation?  Did God truly say it was against His teachings when he created man? Or did ‘man’ write that?  Abortion…do we go back to the butchers in the back alleys of old? We need to look in other areas to keep the abortions from being so “poplar” for birth control I agree.  women have a right to do with their bodies as they see fit, God gave us this right! So…why do these two subjects belong in a Presidental Election.  i do not understand. The ALL pay taxes, contribute to society, many are very talented. Over-population is topic constantly yet we get irate over abortion?  Hospitals killing people daily nationwide and no one is protecting them. Doctors making mistakes and getting by with “murder” in the operating room, pill pushers companies destroying peopls lifes daily, I do not see anyone taking them to task! All Professional hang together and protect against the human race daily and we can’t get help, we are damaged and no one there for us, Senior’s are being targeted to die, Military Families are being targeted and they give us our FREEDOM? seems very lope sided in my estimation. Presidents should be voted in on their concern for America and how they will fight for Her not destroy Her daily and Her people and land. TRUTH is put down.  God is a dirty word, Our country was Founded on God’s Word an din the Trust of God, what happened to us. Why did we chose to go to sleep and ignore.  WAKE UP AMERICANS before it is too late……Do you have the answer to question posed at the beginning? I have searched for one and so far it has not become clear to me.

Would you please consider Ron Paul.  This country is in dire need of restoring, to our Christian values.  The other candidates have all came out for more wars and killing in an unjust world.  Have any of these countries attacked us?  How many innocent lives have been wasted in these wars?

Does the federal government need to step into cases of adultery, working Sundays, mixing cloths and various other bible sins? And how about you look into Iran, the history of the US wrecking their democracy and actually meet some Iranians. I have, and they are no less human than you, in fact many have much better qualifications regarding peaceful co-existence than you Steve.

Steve, I am a physician from Shenandoah, Iowa. I was born and raised in Indianola. In November 2009 I brought my family to a Saturday morning rally for Kent Sorenson. You spoke. So did Ron Paul. You KNOW that Ron Paul is a man of courage and integrity. You KNOW that he values life and liberty. You KNOW that he takes his oath to defend the Constitution seriously. And you KNOW that he has inspired hundreds of thousands of people like me to shake off their apathy and cynicism and start working to restore America. For Heaven’s sake, man, what MORE do you need to know?

  • James

Jesus is the ‘Prince of Peace’… I heard you mention revelations and the Mid-East; it scares me to think we may be the ones to initiate revelations. The other candidates voted and or strongly support the Patriot Act (Suspension of the 4th Amendment) and want to strengthen it – that is cowardly in my view. So we have people fighting and dying in undeclared wars overseas to protect out liberties (Supposedly) but at home we are taking our freedoms away – seems a bit Orwellian to me!

The last book in the Bible is Revelation. It is singular, the Revelation of Jesus Christ as written by John on the island of Patmos. Unfortunately, our culture is Biblically illiterate and understands neither the Book of Daniel nor Revelation.  Babylon is going to be rebuilt. There will be an anti-Christ. We need to start reading our BIBLE and praying for God’s mercy upon our nation.  We have been worshipping our economy.

“Jesus drove the money-changers out because he said, ‘My house will be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves,’” says Kosse, 10. “God’s action teaches me that if you are deceitful or use the church for the wrong reason, you will not be rewarded.”

  • James

You say the Islam goal is too take us over! DC already beat them too it!

  • James

Hi Steve – Let’s take the morality issue a step further if the Federal Government won’t do it how about the UN forcing us to be moral. Do you see where this is leading?

  • Asdf

Steve Deace, if they are true enemies, congress will declare war, and President Paul will go to war.

    • James

He supported going into Afghanistan – So I am confused on what he says as what would he do.

      • Joe

Paul did not feel that such an authorization was the most effective or most constitutional way to destroy the perpetrators of 9/11 (preferred letters of marque and reprisal and concentrated special ops as opposed to obliterating a whole country and then rebuilding it). However, he did support it as you mentioned.

In general, Paul wants a STRONG national defense that’s ready to protect us if a threat emerges. If there’s an attack on us now, how safe are we if our military is spread out all over the world unable to respond? If we’re being threatened and we need to go to war, believe me he’ll do it… just in the constitutional way. Identify the threat, get a declaration of war, go in and win, and then get out!

  • Will

Another Veteran for Ron Paul and plan to caucus in Iowa for him.  This man defends ALL life!

  • Shermtank2

    Steve,
What is your take on Rick Santorum?

  • Possessed

Bob Vanderplaat’s group determining who can win (resources, etc.) is dumb.  There are several excellent candidates running and by giving his support to someone like Michele Bachmann, there are lots of resources that would be directed to her just from such endorsements.  Bob, stop second guessing that part of it and just stand behind a candidate because of their stand on right and wrong - their principles.  I think a better factor to help make your decision is, how much baggage do they bring that Obama can sling in their teeth when he begins to do his historical m.o. and slash/burn his opponent into the ground?

Watch this video and you will see why Iowans are against SS Marriage. Ron paul would be dangerous on this issue.

Can I please go somewhere on the net and have an honest discusson without being bombarded by Paulbots.   I like him too but he’ll get us blown up…maybe…. not good enough for me.

  • Dolores Bledsoe

I would ask each of the candidates the folllowing:
    1) Do you know the total amount of money that has been “borrowed” from the Social Security Trust Fund?2) When was the last withdrawl from the SS Trust Fund?
    3) If you are President, would you require that a set monthly payment be set in the Budget, for payments be made to pay back the Social Security Trust Fund?

Why does the Unitd States invest in cororations in foreign countries before we we pay back the IOU’s we owe to our own Social Security Trust Fund?

Is anyone making comments or can I not see them?

Ron Paul is a libertarian who thinks government should stay out of morality. I’m not surprised that he didn’t show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VR9FCCq7j-E

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=583975365 Walter Brown

What I would like to know is what the candidates would do in the event that a state refuses to make abortion illegal after the fourteenth amendment is clarified to cover life from the moment of conception to natural death.

  • Trnreri

i can’t hear the forum, says access denied.

  • Polycarp Smithson

The interruption with commercials about non-life issues is counter productive and lessens the impact of the candidates convicitons and political positions

  • Al Lopez

I am supporting Newt Gingrich. In my book, Gingrich is the one leader who shows
leadership! He is sincere, he speaks from his Christian values and from his sense
of justice. As far as I am concern, who ever overlooks the Hispanic minority in this
coming election is going to be short-changed when all the votes are tallied. I support
someone who is compassion and sensitive in considering the minorities as a substantial
    voting block.

  • Lfe210

You Ron Paul people need to seriously do some research. That guy is nuts.

The people of Iowa had no say in gay marriage, it was the Iowa court system.  Three of the judges were kicked out in the last election.  If gay marriage were voted on it would fail.

  • lindarose

IOWA people do NOT “suck” BUT …..those who are are pro “gay marriage” are trying to appease the general public and perhaps be “politically correct”, whereas it is the LORD GOD whom they should’ve first and foremost “appease”.   The LORD GOD did say we are to love “GOD”….and to love “our neighbor” as we love ourselves…so let us move one and do as HE commanded..

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.  By the way, Romney will not win Iowa!!!!

  • http://twitter.com/LifeDontWasteIt Leslie A HRedweik

Bachmann – right on the issues and knows radical islam is a very serious threat. They are bound by their beliefs to either convert or kill non-believers. It is not about what we have or haven’t done except for what we believe and stand for – freedom of religion and western ideology.

    Newt Gingrich 2012! Good decision!

  • Anonymous

Thanks for sharing your thought process Steve

  • Curious

If the best argument you have for Newt is that he has money and Bachman and Santorum don’t, and therefore Iowa caucus evangelicals should run to Newt, I was wondering how much money does newt’s campaign have as of today?

  • Liz

I had the opportunity to hear Ron Paul at the Thanksgiving Forum on Nov. 19th. He was unfocused, rambling, dare I say dottering?  He absolutely bombed out on being able to reflective and searching his soul. He acknowledged God but not Jesus. I think he has a tradition but not a relationship. Some of you know what that means. I also think with respect to the Middle East that he is Biblically  illiterate.  When he was asked to reflect on something that he learned from where other candidates spoke of  during the forum  one mentioned his family/grandmother’s struggles and what he learned from that(Newt) cancer scare (Cain) daughter with disabilities (Santorum), the only statement he could make was being unable to be more of an athlete in high school. Really, for the life you have lived that is all you could come up with? Sad. He fits in best with a crowd of old guys b.s.ing around a table at a coffee shop.  I don’t trust him; he is flaky as a southern biscuit!  For those of you that are mad about government waste and spending–how many  years has he been in Congress and what has he accomplished? Hardly anything.  He does not know how to get the People’s business done. Does he support term limits? If so, he’d be out.  Do you think it’s okay for him to be campaigning and not representing his constituents? Isn’t that government waste? God help us if Paul ends up with the nomination. I will be writing in another name if he becomes the candidate.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Cody-D-Darr/1286912441 Cody D Darr

How is Dr. Paul “biblically illiterate” in regards
to the middle east? Have you not read in that same bible that the children of
faith [Christians] are the true heirs to the promise. Have you not read that
not all that are Israel are Israel? Have you not read we are to not show
partiality [favoritism] and that our GOD is no respecter of persons? If to be
Christian is to be “Christ-like”, then can you tell me the ONE TIME
within the gospel that Lord Christ used physical violence and what he was using
      it for?

  • Joe

Ron Paul wants us to turn our back on Israel.  NO WAY!!!! Your crazy if you vote for Ron Paul

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Cody-D-Darr/1286912441 Cody D Darr

Not only am I voting for Ron Paul, but I am writing in his name if he doesn’t get the nom. On the list of “what would Jesus do” I don’t think you’ll ever find “preemtive strike” on that list…

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Cody-D-Darr/1286912441 Cody D Darr

    Newt 31
    Paul 19
    San 17

    • Jeter40

Based on the powers that be(not good powers)…..are going to get Romney there

  • Jeter40

The “establishment” may let Newt get by here in SC, but the same guys that fueled Bush will NOT let “Newt” win in the end. I hope what I say is wrong.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Cody-D-Darr/1286912441 Cody D Darr

A vote for Obama is a vote to continue to be ignored and told you’re too ignorant to understand what is being done to “benefit” you…

A vote for Romney is a vote for Obama…

A vote for Gingrich is a vote for the status quo, but with more flair…

A vote for Santorum is a vote for the status quo, but with some empty religious rethoric thrown into the mix…

A vote for Paul is a vote for change…

What do you want? How will you vote..?

  • Karen Wedge

Corey needs to know first that we are separated from God and need a way to be reconciled to Him and that God desires to be reconciled with us (and simultaneously learn about the character traits of God and how God is Holy and perfect in every way — and way beyond our human ability to totally comprehend Him).

I can only hope that the New England loss is a predictor of another New England loss, that would be the loss of Romney

Dick Armey is trying to do the old media and political trick of creating reality by repeating a false perception

  • Anonymous

I’m not convinced Dick Armey is lamenting the possibility of having a rino as much as trying to convince people that its inevitable…could there be a job in line for Dick Armey?

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Cody-D-Darr/1286912441 Cody D Darr

Wow, did you just make a “cause/effect” argument
to bolster your case Mr. Deace..? I thought you said that isn’t how we should operate,
we don’t believe truth because “it works”.

Steve, you and Glen Beck are great. I supported Mike in ’08, but his radio show is annoying. He isn’t needed. We have Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, You, Shawn Hannity, Rush, ect. We don’t Huckabee. Plus he strikes me as kinda moderate when compared to Tea Party candidates, radio hosts, and supporters.

Keep it up, Steve (and Jen).
