Stop the Tape . . . the Atheists are Right

by Jen Green

An atheist, a Muslim, and a judge walk into a courtroom . . . and the Law and Freedom walk out.

Our first amendment rights took a severe blow recently, but the truly scary thing is that’s not worst part of this story.

A Pennsylvania judge has ruled in favor of sharia law over the U.S. Constitution by allowing a Muslim man to walk away a free man after attacking an atheist who was dressed as “zombie Mohammed.”

Did he rule for the defendant due to lack of evidence? No–in fact, he would not allow a video of the incident to be entered into evidence. Was it self-defense? No–in fact, the attack was physically unprovoked.

Maybe this will help: the judge, Mark Martin, is a convert to Islam. In his ruling, he stated:

“Having had the benefit of having spent over 2 and a half years in predominantly Muslim countries I think I know a little bit about the faith of Islam. In fact I have a copy of the Koran here and I challenge you sir to show me where it says in the Koran that Mohammad arose and walked among the dead. I think you misinterpreted things. Before you start mocking someone else’s religion you may want to find out a little bit more about it it makes you look like a dufus and Mr. (Defendant) is correct. In many Arabic speaking countries something like this is definitely against the law there. In their society in fact it can be punishable by death and it frequently is in their society.

Islam is not just a religion, it’s their culture, their culture. It’s their very essence their very being.”

So, the judge ruled, because the atheist had insulted the Muslim’s “culture and being,” the attack was justified. He then went on to call the plaintiff, the atheist, a “doofus.”

Do we still think the folks pushing for laws forbidding sharia law to be recognized in the U.S. are loose cannons?

It’ll be interesting to see how this story unfolds since it was the Muslims versus the atheists. Our non-believing friends at Opposing Views are vowing this is not the end of this story. Frankly, I believe this is one of those “strange bedfellows” moments where we should be joining hands and forces with them to wrench our courtrooms back–in this case from treacherous judge who has thrown our constitution out the window for the benefit of a system of law that rewards killing all “non-believers:” Christians, Jews, and atheists.

When is it going to stop?
