Never the Twain Shall Meet
by Jen Green
Today we must disabuse ourselves of a misapprehension under which we have been collectively laboring.
Although it might hurt a bit at first, today is a good day for us to broaden our horizons, open our world, try something new. Seems history is changing right before our very eyes.
America is not a Christian nation. Oh, you say? Really? And why?
Because it is an “Islamically compliant” one.
But, don’t take my word for it. Take the word of senior advisor to the Department of Homeland Security, Mohamed Elibiary who tweeted this:
” . . . I do consider the United States of America an Islamic country with an Islamically compliant constitution. Move on!”
Besides being an advisor to the anti-constitutional Big Sis department, just who is Mohamed Elibiary? Oh, I’m so glad you asked, because our friends over at the Clarion Project have put together a nice little bio of him for us.
“Elibiary is a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council and was promoted in September. He also served on the Department of Homeland Security’s Countering Violent Extremism Working Group and the Faith-based Security and Communications Advisory Committee. He is also a long-time Texas Republican Party official and was a delegate for Senator John McCain in 2008.”
Elibiary is also a staunch supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood and regularly compares them to Christian evangelicals.
Once upon a time, in a time when logic was not only desired but needed, we collectively agreed that a thing could not BE and NOT BE at the same time. If there was a THING there must be an OPPOSITE.
Yet, it seems Rudyard Kipling was simply wrong-headed when he wrote, “Oh, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet.”
Now, in our more enlightened world where emotion has lifted us up where we belong, we now understand that logic is Neanderthal. Of course water can be both wet and dry at the same time–if I want it to be! The sun can be both hot and cold.
Heathcare can be both a right and a tax.
One can be both a terrorist sympathizer and a patriot.
America can be both Christian and Islamic.
. . . And a civilization can be so “enlightened” that it’s doomed.
