An Untimely Disclosure
WORLD Magazine is one of the leading publications for thinking evangelicals, so this article is likely to get a lot of exposure to a group of people that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney needs a huge turnout from on November 6th. WORLD takes a look at Romney’s potential connection to a controversial company called Stericycle, which is connected with Planned Parenthood.
14 Million
That’s how many more voters there were in 2008 compared to full-time employees, according to this study of data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Given the fact that unemployment has been above 8% for the most consecutive months since 1948, that number will probably be even greater in 2012. So when 14 million more people vote than those who have jobs and are paying the way for the welfare state, what kind of candidates would you suppose they’ll vote for?
Unique Polling Sample
Gabriel Joseph is a unique pollster who specializes in polling cell phone users for various conservative candidates/causes across the country. He polls cell phone users for two reasons: they’re reliable to reach, and only 68% of them are registered to vote. Joseph uses it as a way to not just find out what voters think, but to identify voters who might lean right but aren’t registered to vote and encourage them to get out to the polls. Below is a sample of his latest polling data of nationwide cell phone users yesterday emailed to me yesterday:
National: Obama 46%, Romney 41%
Colorado: Obama 46.29%, Romney 41.95%
Florida: Obama 50.19%, Romney 39.7%
Iowa: Obama 42.07%, Romney 41.87%
