Media Hits Back at Conservative Scoffers
It’s becoming apparent the mainstream media has about had it with conservatives calling their pro-Obama polling biased, and an attempt to engineer a self-fulfilling prophecy. In this piece from Politico, analysts from both sides of the aisle come to the defense of mainstream media polling, and explain why their numbers say what they say. By the way, on Monday the president hit 50% in the Rasmussen Daily Tracking Poll for the first time. Rasmussen has become the favorite pollster of conservatives.
Economists Favor Romney
A survey of 17 top economists done by CNN found that only three of them favored Obama’s re-election, and nine of them said it would be better for the country if Mitt Romney replaced him in the White House. Five economists indicated no preference, believing things will not change all that much regardless of who wins in November. ”Obama doesn’t really understand business and Romney doesn’t really understand how to govern. So pick your poison,” said Gary Rosenberger of EconoPlay, one of those surveyed who refused to give a pick.
I’m Seeing a Pattern Here
Stop me if you’ve heard this before. President Obama moves left on an issue. Romney criticizes Obama for it. Then it turns out that either Romney used to be where the president is, or will continue the president’s policy if he’s in office. Yeah, me too. Stop this train I want to get off. This time Romney says he’ll keep the immigration amnesty he criticized Obama for implementing last summer. Fire up the etch-a-sketch.
