What Obama Did Instead of Commemorating D-Day

For as long as most of us can remember, American presidents have usually done something on June 6th to commemorate the Normandy invasion, otherwise known as D-Day, which was the bold offensive that permanently turned the tide in favor of freedom and liberty in World War II. But if there’s one thing we know about President Obama, he’s not much for honoring many of America’s most cherished traditions. For example, instead of commemorating D-Day, Obama spent June 6th speaking to those supportive of mainstreaming immorality at a LGBT fundraiser in front of a gigantic American flag – reminiscent of the movie Patton.  He then told the following joke about his wife (directly quoted from the White House press pool report):

“Michelle outdoes me in pushups as well,” he said, after saying that she’s taken some criticism on her technique “because she doesn’t go all the way down” – a line that he let hang, naughtily provoking laughter from the crowd.

That’s presidential.

Romney Fear Factors

Politico has this exhaustive lookat what has Republican leaders worried about Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign, beginning with this observation: “Mitt Romney’s campaign is threatened most by the man himself. His Mormon faith. His stiff public appearance. His ideological inconsistency. His trouble confronting and controlling the Donald Trumps of the party. His knack for cringe-worthy stabs at connecting.”

Um…where were all these “GOP insiders” during the primary when we could’ve nominated someone that didn’t have these issues?

WND Questions CNN

CNN is making news for all the wrong reasons now. First there was its plunge into a ratings abyss that has the cable news network pioneer now firmly in last place among cable news networks. Now there’s this story from WND, which claims an attempt by a CNN report to expose the so-called “birther” movement as a fraud is itself a fraud.

Yeah, yeah, yeah Obama is the perfect villain and I don’t think I have hated a man more than I hate Obama.

But it is precisely because he makes the perfect villain that I am going to vote for him this year.

I don’t want to see happen again what happened after Clinton. Conservatives fell asleep and you had Bush “going to China” on all kinds of issues.

I fear that Romney will “go to China” even more than Bush. And we all know there’s enough Republicans willing to “take one for the team” for Romney to do it.

But Obama on the other hand, being the “perfect villain” is going to have less flexibility than he thinks he is going to have.  He might not have to worry about getting re-elected but all the Senators and Representatives who he will need to get anything done do.

Never.  Never. Ever do evil to prevent bad.  I won’t vote for Romney, but I sure can’t vote for Obama (and neither should you if you think he is evil).   Agree totally in concept with you, but the way to keep the system in check is to participate in keeping our Congress accountable.  Watch what they do, and replace them when they are naughty…which is pretty much every congressman every time.
