Reverse Your Opponent’s Premise, and Use it Against Him
That is one of our 10 Commandments of Political Warfare, and the Republican Party is doing an excellent job of utilizing it with this website that takes the Democrats feigned concern for the outsourcing of jobs, and turns it around on them by detailing President Obama’s record of outsourcing. What makes this website even more potent politically is it itemizes exactly all the ways we the taxpayers are subsidizing it.
Why Romney and Obama are Struggling in the Polls
Neither is able to clear 50% in any polls, and the most recent Fox News poll had both below 45% (with Romney inexcusably at 41%). Perhaps the reason why is because Obama has been a failure, and Romney’s record is too similar? This article points out 100 ways Romney is just like Obama, and documents its claims with embedded links. What do you think?
Eat Mo Chikin
Dan Cathy, the president and chief operating officer of Chick-fil-A, said in a radio interview this week that destroying marriage is “inviting God’s judgment on our nation.” Appearing on “The Ken Coleman Show,” Cathy spoke of his company’s pride in its socially conservative character, but then offered an assessment of homosexuality that might lose the popular fast food chain a few customers. “I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say, ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage,’” said Cathy. “I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we would have the audacity to try to redefine what marriage is all about,” he added. In an era when many corporations are tripping over each other in an attempt to cater to less than 2% of the population with no regard for offending the rest of us, perhaps we should make it a point to “eat mo chikin” at Chick-fil-A?
