What God Says About Children
This piece by Jim Liske of Prison Fellowship is worthwhile perspective on the importance of reaching and teaching the next generation. As a good friend of mine often tells me, “We’re never going to get society to protect the unborn if we can’t get it to protect the already born.”
Vote for Jesus?
Internet evangelist Bill Keller, whose “Live Prayer” ministry reaches over 2 million online per day, is starting a campaign to get Christians to commit to voting for Jesus instead of either Barack Obama or Mitt Romney, who Keller provocatively describes as “flipping a coin with Satan on both sides.” In this interview with Christian Post, Keller goes into more detail about how he believes Christians shouldn’t vote for either major party candidate for president, and says already 200,000 Christians have committed to vote for Jesus instead.
Yet another reason why I might move to Texas
Warm weather almost year-around, no state income tax, 10 incumbent Republicrats lose in their primaries on May 29th, and now this. Texas is now the latest state to say no to implementing Obamacare. Governor Rick Perry said: “I will not be party to socializing healthcare and bankrupting my state in direct contradiction to our Constitution and our founding principles of limited government,” Perry continued, as reported by the Houston Chronicle. “I stand proudly with the growing chorus of governors who reject the Obamacare power grab. Neither a state exchange nor the expansion of Medicaid under this program would result in better ‘patient protection’ or in more ‘affordable care.’ They would only make Texas a mere appendage of the federal government when it comes to health care.” God bless Texas.
