Sandusky Story Continues

The saga of the former Penn State assistant football coach turned convicted pedophile rapist continues. Tuesday we found out that Penn State University has been sent a warning letter threatening its accreditation, which if removed would do even more damage to the school than NCAA penalties on the football program did. Now comes this story from a witness who told federal authorities Sandusky and another pedophile raped boys on a private plane. Many have speculated that Sandusky was part of a pedophile ring, and a story like this (if true) certainly adds credence to that theory.

Romney Unloads on Obama

So what happens when the carefully orchestrated and tightly scripted Mitt Romney tell his incestuous brigade of loser etch-a-sketch consultants and strategists to take a hike, and he writes his own speech? You get the most fiery rhetoric yet from the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. Speaking in the key battleground state of Ohio, Romney unloaded on Obama and his foolish race-baiting vice president, accusing Obama-Biden of running a “campaign of division and anger and hate.” But that’s not all. In remarks sure to have his incestuous loser brigade of etch-a-sketch consultants and strategists sweating bullets, Romney went even further saying the “campaign and his surrogates have made wild and reckless accusations that disgrace the office of the presidency. The White House sinks a little bit lower. This is what an angry and desperate presidency looks like. So, Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago.” Careful, Mitt…you’re almost starting to sound like you actually do want to win this thing. While you’re at it, give your incestuous loser brigade of etch-a-sketch consultants and strategists a permanent timeout, and you just might.

Obama More Pro-Life than Romney?

According to a column in the National Catholic Reporter, the answer to that question is yes. Of course, what do you expect from a column that includes this line: “I don’t know anyone who is pro-abortion. Think about what that word means. It means you favor women becoming pregnant so you can help them abort their child and maybe profit from it.” Apparently this “expert” has never heard of Planned Parenthood.

There is simply no excuse for Paul Ryan to consider Ayn Rand his idol of idols and the philosopher whom he admires the most and the philosopher who inspired him the most.

Of all the people in the world!

Ayn Rand was a militant pro-abortion atheist whose philosophy was the very foundation of Anton Levey Satanism. It’s right there on the Church of Satan’s website!

Of all the people in the world! This is who Paul Ryan chooses as his most admired philosopher and the source of his inspiration?

That’s enough for me to give a big thumbs down to Paul Ryan.

Paul Ryan gave a passionate speech to the atheistic Atlas Society in 2005 where he absolutely declared the philosophy and values of Ayn Rand — as his own.

We, as Christians, must not be deceived by the wolves in our midst. Their flip flops notwithstanding.

So, Ayn Rand was an athiest, and a satan worshiper???
If Thomas Jefferson were alive today, the Christian Only Party (GOP) probably wouldn’t even allow him in the door.

Well, just based on the actual facts of each candidates record, Mitt Romney is less pro-life than Barack Obama. Obama is pro-abortion, but Romney was a pro-abortion activist in Massachusetts. Mitt personally signed pro-abortion legislation, issued pro-abortion executive orders, appointed pro-abortion judges and profited off of the abortion industry.

Catholics United, an “organization dedicated to promoting the message of justice and the common good found at the heart of the Catholic Social Tradition,” critiques Ryan on a presuppositional basis:
Mitt Romney’s newly announced vice presidential candidate, Catholic Congressman Paul Ryan, has a long-standing standing relationship with the teachings of atheist philosopher Ayn Rand. Because of their stern pronouncements against serving the weak, poor and marginalized, the teachings of Ayn Rand are antithetical to Catholic social teaching.. . . Despite the formative influence of Ayn Rand on his involvement in public life, on April 26, Congressman Ryan publicly claimed to have renounced the teachings of Ayn Rand, yet has failed to explain how any of his policies have changed.
So, they reason, since Ryan’s ideas come from an atheist, they must be based on atheistic presuppositions. Since Ryan, as a Catholic, cannot be an atheist, he must repudiate her ideas and articulate policies more in keeping with Catholic presuppositions like justice and common good. To add a little twist to this part of the story, right wing evangelicals like Ryan. So do right wing evangelicals also have atheistic presuppositions?
