If you want to know what’s happening to Herman Cain’s campaign from the point of view of an Iowan who is watching closely, read this Caffeinated Thoughts article. Three of Cain’s Iowa staffers resigned either at the end of last week or over the weekend. Some of the rumors surrounding his campaign are debunked, others are corroborated. Cain’s staffing turnover is one issue, but his lack of depth in national media interviews is another one altogether.

But, if he’s deterred, Herman Cain is not showing it at all. With almost a dismissive tone, he says he’s already got replacements for his Iowa staff. In fact, he says, he was looking for replacements before the three even resigned. Ouch.

As for his interview problems, they are on full display here in this Today show interview. The folks on this morning show are not known to be hard hitters, but apparently no one told the fill-in host she was to go easy on the Atlanta businessman.
