The Cain Train has been a bit quiet in Iowa lately, but that’s changing very soon. Cain will be in Winterset, John Wayne’s (real) hometown, this weekend. If that’s not Americana enough, he’ll also be at the Pizza Ranch on John Wayne drive in Indianola. My hat is off to his scheduler—I love some good irony.

Cain may not have performed as well as his supporters had hoped in the New Hampshire primary, but he did finish a strong third in the Iowa Poll. Now, he’s throwing some more red meat on the fire with his brand new Obama attack ad. It’s pretty scathing. See if you think he’s striking the right tone.

Apparently it’s a prerequisite for running for president (or even considering it). Herman Cain is set to publish his memoirs in October, two months before the primary season begins.
