The Family Leader’s Presidential Forum revealed to
me that Christians don’t have the mentality  to participate in
politics.  Now Followers of Christ do, but not Christians as they perceive
    themselves today.

Jesus Detested Decorum.  Jesus WAS NOT a “NICE” person. He was
rude to religious elders (for good reason but still rude). He even chased
people out of temples with sticks!

He stated that his very PURPOSE was to cause disharmony. Even among Fathers and
Sons. Even among Daughters and Mothers, Inlaws etc.

Where did the idea that Christians must be “nice” come from?
It’s like we have all mistaken Jesus for Mr Rogers.

No, Jesus didn’t wear a sweater.  But nor did He wear a suit. Too many
    Christians think He did.

Christians, real Christians are called to follow the ways of Christ. Not Ms
    Manners. But CHRIST!

Read the Gospels.  Jesus was no barefoot hippie. Nor was he Mr
    Rogers.

“It’s a beautiful day in Jerusalem, it’s a beautiful day for a neighbor.
Won’t you be mine, won’t you be mine. won’t you be my neighbor!”. Nope
that wasn’t our Savior and it is outrageous when even those who claim to be His
Followers think that was what HE was.

    Mr. Deace,

The Federal Government doesn’t enforce the right to life – look at murder for example.  All murder laws are state laws.  Are you saying the Federal Government should make federal murder laws?  Uniform federally mandated sentences on murder?  You’re too knee-jerk in refuting Ron Paul’s constitutional position and need to think a bit about it before giving such an emotional argument against Ron Paul.  The Federal Government was instituted by the states to protect life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness/property but it was always believed back then that the Federal Government was to be limited.  That is why all the states had their own bill of rights, the federal government was meant to strengthen the states by acting in matters where coordinated action by the states was important i.e. defense, diplomacy, ect…  The Federal Bill of Rights did not apply to the states, they could violate it with impunity.  It was not until after the Civil War that the Federal Bill of Rights was “incorporated” into the states, meaning that it now applied to the states.

This takes me to Ron Paul’s position in the debate.  He said that the Federal Government can define personhood by legislation or amendment.  If that is done, then equal protection under the law applies to the unborn.  Thus states would have to apply their murder laws to the unborn.  This is the result if you follow what Dr. Paul suggested in the debate.  So how is this wrong?

Looks like the Heritage Foundation is putting on a debate today.

Yeah, this is it.  This is the debate we all have been waiting for! Finally!

Uh, they got for moderator Wolf Blitzer.

    Argh!

    EPIC FAIL.

Well here goes another few wasted hours.

The problem isn’t that we have had too many debates.  It’s that we have not had any of the right type of debates.

I won’t be surprised when they have their Al Jazeera debate hosted by al Jazeera hosts.

You know for all their talk about how bad the news media is they always seem to go kiss their Ring don’t they.

Has Bill O’Reilly ever hosted one of these debates? Not that he is the end all or be all, but he certainly would be better.

Has Hannity ever hosted one of these debates?  Again, I have my problems with the party hack but still he would be better.

I can think of so many people who could host one of these things, many who yeah I have problems with but still at least comes from things from at least a somewhat conservative perspective and aren’t committed Leftists like say a Wolf Blitzer,

I don’t expect anything new here so I am not going to watch.

Wake me when they have a REAL DEBATE!

This is the year they have had too many debates yet at the same time they haven’t debated at all!

The Heritage Foundation is hosting a debate by Wolf Blitzer.  That just says it all doesn’t it. It’s like there’s no hope at all. Why worry about Obama when our greatest enemy really is ourselves.
